Meet The Team

Stephanie Hyde R.N.M.H. Cert Ed.

Director and Appointed Person

I am a Registered Nurse for learning disabled people. I am an NVQ D32 D33 Assessor, and I have a City and Guilds Registered Managers Award in Care and I also have a Certificate of Education. I commenced my career in Health and Social care work via the NHS in 1974. From qualifying as a nurse in 1983 I worked as a Clinical Manager with a variety of service user groups, including elderly care and children. I have been managing Abbots Care Ltd. with my daughters since 1995.

Camille Leavold:

Managing Director and Registered Manager

Since 1988, I have been working in the care environment both hands on with adults and children with learning disabilities, and as Care Manager with a national recruitment organisation, before commencing in Abbots Care Ltd. with my Mother and sister. I am responsible for the development, finance and operational aspects of the company. I am a NVQ assessor, a back care Trainer and qualified to Level 4 Registered Managers Award in care.

Naomi Connor Cert Ed.

Director

My career in care work commenced in 1986 as a student nurse. I have worked with a variety of Service User groups including adults and children who have Learning Disabilities and with Elderly People. I have Cert. Ed and Registered Managers Award. I am a D32 D33 Assessor, a qualified First Aid trainer, and a key worker for back care. I have been managing Abbots Care Ltd. with my Mother and sister since 1995.

In 1983 I commenced work in the Health and Social care environment. I have worked with adults and children with learning and physical disabilities, complex health needs and challenging behavior. I have also worked with older people with various needs. I am a D32 D33 Assessor, a qualified first aid trainer, a dementia care trainer, and a key worker for back care. I have City and Guilds Registered Managers Award in Care and Certificate in Education and am working towards becoming a Learning Champion. I have been a Care Manager since 1996.

Karen Bateman

Manager

I commenced work in Health and Social Care in 1986. I have City and Guilds in Care management and have managed a variety of care groups since 1990. I am the Manager responsible for managing quality customer services and the monitoring of staff.

Avril Mulkerrin

Staff Monitoring

I have been in care work since 1999 and previously worked as a care team manager in a residential home. I am currently responsible for supervision and observation of care workers. I have NVQ Level 3 completed in 2004, and have attended a 3 day interviewing course completed in 2008 and a 1 day supervision course. I have also gained a PETLL qualification in April 2011.

Vanessa Day

Community Trainer

Responsible for supplying training and advice to care workers in training and in work situations. I have NVQ Level 2 and Level 3, PTLS trainer qualification, train the trainer back care, and I am a Qualified First Aider. I have worked in numerous residential and day care settings and prior to beginning work for Abbots Care as a community trainer, I worked as a care worker in the community.

Christine Knights

Care Coordinator

Responsible for booking care workers into the vacant work. I have 15 years experience working in residential care with learning and physical disabilities. I have NVQ in business administration, a City and Guilds in management in care and a customer care qualification.

Sharon Bordley

Care Coordinator

Responsible for booking care workers into the vacant work. I have a NVQ 2 in Health and Social care and NVQ in business administration. Alongside this, I have City & Guilds in care management.

Kim O’Dea

Care Coordinator

I have NVQ 2 health & social care. I am responsible for booking care workers into the vacant work and assisting the Managers and Directors as required.

Terri Jenner

Business Development

I am involved in developing the business, case manages private purchasers, residential care work and day centers.

Sue Davis

Care Coordinator

I work alongside Terri in booking care workers into shifts. Prior to joining Abbots Care, I worked for 15 years as a care manager in residential homes for the elderly. I have NVQ 2 in Health & Social Care & I am a Bradford University Dementia Care Mapper.

Dawn Cornwall

Key Worker

I have been working in the care industry for 10 years and have worked with people with learning disabilities, challenging behaviour, autism and elderly people. Prior to Abbots Care, in November 2010 I worked for Leanard Cheshire Disabilities and gained a qualification to become a Moving and Handling instructor. I also have Level 3 Health and Safety at work risk assessment.
